Reservation and Cancellation Policy

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to make a reservation. When something prevents you from carrying out your travel plans we will gladly rebook your getaway and apply your deposit to your re-booked dates as long as it’s in the same year and as long as you cancel with more than 72 hours’ notice from 3:00pm on your day of arrival.

If your plans change at the last minute (or anytime within 72 hours from 3:00 pm on the day of your arrival), the full rate will apply. However, if you need to cancel, please call us and we’ll try our best to rebook the room that was reserved for you by opening it up to other potential customers who may call, book Online, or may stop in when driving by. If:

  1. we are able to re rent the room(s) we had reserved for you than no additional fees on top of your deposit will be charged.
  2. If we cannot re-rent the rooms we reserved for you then the full rate will apply.

If you do not show up at all for your reservation than you would be charged the full rate.

Cooking Policy

An outdoor cooking area is provided at our outdoor picnic area. It includes a BBQ and picnic tables. Your room is equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave and coffee maker for light cooking.

Cleaning Rooms

Housekeeping is included with your room. If you would not like your room cleaned then please hang the “no cleaning required” sign on the door.


We are pleased to announce that the Dream Catcher Motel, Rolling Rapids Motel, The Algonquin East Gate Motel and the Inside out cabin are now pet friendly. There is a extra $25 cleaning fee once per stay. Bellwood Inn is NOT pet friendly.


Regarding fresh towels

In order to help conserve our environment, towels are not changed automatically. If you would like fresh towels, please place the towel’s that you would like replaced in the bottom of your bathtub.

Where are you located?

We located right on Hwy 60 just 4.5 Km from Algonquin Parks East gate between the east gate and the town of Whitney Ontario. Airy Rd is almost directly across the road from us so our main crossing streets would be Hwy 60 and Airy Rd.

Is it safe to use GPS to find you?

No, GPS has been known to take people the long way to get here. It can also direct you down back roads.

Directions from Toronto

To get here from Toronto there are two main routes. My personal favorite is to take Hwy 400 through to Orillia then merge onto Hwy 11. This will take you to Huntsville where you will take the third exit (hwy 60 east) through Algonquin Park. Were just past the second gate (east gate) on your left.

Where is Bellwood Inn located in relation to the Dream Catcher Motel, Algonquin Cabins and Algonquin Camping?

Bellwood Inn and the Algonquin Dream Catcher Motel are located side by side on the same property. Algonquin cabins and Algonquin Camping are located across the road from Bellwood inn and the Dream Catcher Motel.

What are your office hours?

Because were busy cleaning rooms and taking care of the property during the day time our office is usually only staffed from 3:00pm to 11:00 pm. That being said, if you need us right away, we are always on the premises so you will likely see us walking around working on things. If you're trying to get a hold of us on the phone, try sending us an email instead. It will beep on our smart phone even during the hours were not staffing the office, so they are checked every 20 minutes or so.

How late can we check in?

If you’re going to be later than 10pm, we just ask that you give us a call to let us know. If you will be arriving too late for us to stay up to greet you personally, then we can bill your credit card over the phone and leave a key and your receipt in an envelope on the door for you.

How do we check out?

We do all of the paper work upon arrival. This makes check out simple and helps keep our prices low because we don’t have to staff the office in the day time. When you check out, simply leave your key in the mailbox next to the office. We hope you enjoy your stay and that you have continues safe journeys.

Where do we go when we arrive?

Our office is located at the front of the Dream Catcher Motel in room 3. You will see the open and office sign at the correct door.

Where do we park?

For Bellwood inn, parking is available out front. There is a decorative gate that your welcome to park in front of.

Do we need a permit to enter Algonquin Park?

Yes, there around $15. For more information about Algonquin Park, we recommend that you visit the website that we created to help people plan their trip. www.algonquinprovincialpark.ca

Yes, there is one located just two minutes (0.5km) away

Are you near a gas station?

There are two located within 30 seconds drive.

Are you near any restaurants?

Yes the Mad Musher, Algonquin Lunch Bar, Sherry’s Pizza and a chip wagon are all located with in 2 minutes’ drive.

How far are you from the lake?

We are 60 second drive from the lake.

How far are you from the beach?

We are 60 second drive from the beach.

Can we fish nearby?

Yes, Algonquin Park is well known for its fishing. You can fish as close as 60 seconds drive from us and then you can spread out fishing from there as far as you would like. The fishing possibilities here are endless.

What kind of fish are in the lakes?

Small and Large Mouth Bass, Lake trout, Speckle trout, splake, pickerel, perch and more are all located in our lakes.

How are you affiliated with the Dream Catcher Motel?

The Rolling Rapids Motel, Bellwood Inn and the Dream Catcher Motel are owned by the same family.

Is there a place to lock our bikes?

Yes, I would recommend just locking them to your car but you are also welcome to chain them to one of our tall pines in the picnic area.
